I start my year as President with a steadfast commitment to work closely with our members to take into account each of your interests and your voices on the many issues we will face during the upcoming year. I know that I have big shoes to fill and promise that I will give it my all. I realize that the value we bring to our profession is paramount in building a stronger and an even more successful IAPHD. As I take on this new role, I will do my very best to ensure transparency and will continue to work hard to meet the challenges that lie ahead.

I am thrilled to be working with such a great group of elected officials to lead and represent the extraordinary and diverse members.

From past few years I have actively participated in all the IAPHD events so that I would be aware of the status of on-going projects, preparing myself to readily step in as President.

There are so many outstanding activities and events in store for 2020 and beyond. As your newly elected President I am charged with the following Vision, Mission and Strategic Goals:

• Develop an updated national strategic plan to increase awareness of oral health and reduce inequities in oral health.
• Encourage and appreciate the active participation of private Paediatric Dental Practitioners to share their valuable clinical knowledge.
• Mass media awareness programmes to increase the awareness among children, parents, teachers and Paediatrician.
• Membership drive – Increase in IAPHD membership allows better collaboration and discussion of modern Paediatric Dentistry.

We have so much more to do, but I am confident that we are making sound headway. Changes come from ideas at the grass-root level. So we need to hear your ideas, your feedback, concerns and active involvement. You are all an incredible force behind the IAPHD. I look forward to an enjoyable and impactful year ahead. Please be assured that I will stand up for you to be seen and speak up for you to be heard!!!
