28.09.2013. 1st Meeting to start the association held at City Institute, K. R. Road, V.V. Puram, Bangalore.

The agenda of meeting was to elect office bearers for the IAPHD-Bangalore chapter. Office bearers were elected exclusively from the faculty present at the meeting.

01.03.2014. 2 nd EC Meeting held at V.S. Dental College, Bangalore.

Minutes of the meeting:

• Meeting was chaired by Dr. D.P. Narayan, Dr. Rekha and Dr. H.L. Jayakumar.
• Welcome address and report by the General Secretary, Dr. H.L. Jayakumar regarding the developments in the Bangalore IAPHD chapter. He also encouraged the members to take responsibility of various activities of the association.
• Approval of membership applications received.
• Dr. H.L. Jayakumar suggested that all members who attended 1 st meeting should be made Founder Members.
• Dr. Umashankar concluded that it was the last day for receipt of forms of Founder Members and after that all staff members will be Life Members.
• Dr. Namita asked contribution on the name of the association’s Journal, Issue and articles. It was suggested by Dr. H.L. Jayakumar that it was entirely the Editorial Board's decision and that they could follow the same rules as the chapter.

• Discussion on issue of identity cards. Dr. Uma was given the responsibility for the issue of ID cards. Dr. H.L. Jayakumar suggested that the card should be the size of a credit card and of three different colours for Founder Members, Life Members and Student Members.
• Discussion was held on website creation- committee to be formed and led by Dr. H.L.Jayakumar.
• Presidential collar design and decision on frequency of E.C meeting were also discussed.
• Seminars, Quiz programs, Social activities to be held by Scientific Co-ordinating committee. It was suggested that there should be 2 co-ordinators of 6 months duration each and they should conduct at least one and if possible two programs.
• Dr. H.L. Jayakumar proposed awards for best outgoing Post graduate students.
• Dr. Umashankar G.K. was give the responsibility to frame eligibility criteria and guidelines for the same.
• Dr. H.L. Jayakumar requested Dr. D.P. Narayan, Dr. Rekha, Dr. Namita, Dr. Uma and
• Dr. Umashankar to send e-mails to all members by taking their opinions and suggestions as it was necessary for members to be in touch with the association.

12.07.2014. 3 rd EC Meeting held at Long leg Party Hall, KSCA Club, Bangalore.

The agenda were:

• Welcome address by the Hon.General Secretary.
• Report by Hon. General Secretary regarding developments and membership enrolment of IAPHD- Bangalore chapter.
• Approval of membership applications received so far.
• Presidential address.
• Report by scientific committee co-ordinator Dr.Padma K Bhat on future activities.
• Detailed briefing of ORIENTATION PROGRAM to be organized on 26 th July 2014 at Krishnadevaraya Dental College by Dr Murali R, Prof and Head, Krsihnadevaraya Dental College and program coordinator.
• Treasurer’s report by Honorary Treasurer, Dr Naveen N.
• Report by Dr.Namita Shanbag (Editor IAPHD Bangalore chapter).
• Report by Dr.Umashankar G.K regarding eligibility guidelines for proposed awards for best outgoing Post graduate student.
• Report by Dr. Uma S.R, co-ordinator for designing and issuing of I.D Cards.
• Felicitation to Pathfinder Program organizing committee by Hon. President Dr. D.P Narayan.
• Decision on office bearers.
• Discussion on forthcoming activities of IAPHD Bangalore chapter.
• Decision on next E.C meeting and host.

Minutes of the meeting:

• General Secretary, Dr. H.L. Jayakumar welcomed everyone and invited Dr. Murali to speak on ‘Orientation day.’
• Dr. Murali greeted everybody and welcomed everybody to Krishnadevaraya Dental College to the 1 st orientation program which would be specific to Public Health Dentistry. He gave the name of the program as "Margadarshi".
• The treasurer presented the report and mentioned that Rs. 43,000 was saved from Pathfinder which was appreciated by all.
• Dr. Padma Bhatt took over as the scientific co-ordinator and suggested that after Margadarshi another CDE Program would be held in BIDS, which would be open to all.
• Dr. Umashankar thanked the association and recommended guidelines for Best Outgoing Students. It was agreed by all to have 3 Best Outgoing Student Awards. It was made mandatory that to be eligible for the prize, a student should be a member of IAPHD Bangalore Chapter for at least 2 consecutive years.Also, P.G. Guides should nominate their students.

• All members agreed to remove Dr. Srivatsa and Dr. Shabana as they had not paid the basic membership fees.
• Dr. Sowmya raised a point about the registration of the association. General Secretary, Dr. H. L. Jayakumar suggested that it be done as soon as possible and open an account and file its IT returns.
• General Secretary, Dr. H. L. Jayakumar informed all that the layout of the ID Cards will be mailed. Also, the contents of website had not been finalized and that it would take some more time.

• Dr. Umashankar asked about the status of the Journal and suggested that if work is not done within deadline, the editor should be changed.
• Dr. Mayur suggested that all EC Members should give reasons for their absence.
• General Secretary, Dr. H. L. Jayakumar concluded the meeting followed by lunch.

Minutes of the meeting:

• General Secretary, Dr. H. L. Jayakumar welcomed the gathering and briefed about last one year’s activity.
• Dr. Umashankar identified Dr. Shantosh and Dr. Ranadheer as Best Outgoing Students.
• Prize was given by Dr. Naveen and Dr. H.L. Jayakumar.
• Dr. Gopikrishna requested all HODs for more participation.
• Dr. D. P. Narayan was appointed as President Elect.
• Dr. Gopikrishna took over as President. He thanked all the members for electing him as a President.
• Dr. D.P. Narayan expressed his wishes and gratitude to Dr. Gopikrishna.
• General Secretary, Dr. H. L. Jayakumar discussed regarding resource persons for Pathfinder-II.

• General Secretary, Dr. H. L. Jayakumar welcomed the gathering and special guest- Dr. K.L. Vereesha.
• General Secretary, Dr. H. L. Jayakumar presented the report of past one year. He thanked the faculty members for their co-operation in making IAPHD Bangalore Chapter a success. He thanked the Organizing Committee of Dayananda Sagar College of Dental Sciences for hosting Pathfinder-II and Vydehi Institute of Dental Sciences for hosting Pathfinder-III.
• Identity Cards were distributed among the members.
• General Secretary, Dr. H. L. Jayakumar announced the membership details.
• Dr. Naveen presented the treasurer’s report.
• The contribution of V.S. Dental College for Pathfinder was highest and appreciated by all.
• Venue for Margadarshi-III was decided to be Dr. MR Ambedkar Dental College.
• It was finalized that Margadarshi-III would be a full day program and the details were discussed.
• The President, Dr. Gopikrishna V. thanked the last committee members for their fabulous contribution to IAPHD.
• Nominations for the new committee were announced and the members elected.
• The newly elected President, Dr. D.P. Narayan thanked one and all present for the success of the meeting.
