On April 7th 2016 , we had a rally for World Health Day- Beat Diabetes in association with IAPHD, Karnataka Chapter where around 800 students and faculty participated in spreading awareness about the problems caused due to diabetes along with its preventive and treatment measures.

The IAPHD, Karnataka and Bangalore Chapter along with the Department of Public Health Dentistry, DSCDS, successfully organized a Continuing Dental Education Programme on the 1st of March 2016 at the C.D.SAGAR AUDITORIUM, DSI. The topic for the CDE programme was on ‘Art of Scientific Publication’.

The IAPHD, Bangalore Chapter in association with  The Dayananda Sagar College of Dental Sciences, Department of Public Health Dentistry, organized ‘PATHFINDER-II 2015’ which was held from 19thto the 21st of February, 2015 at the DSCDS Campus.

 

 It was a program organized to empower students with additional knowledge and experience with regard to pattern of Post graduate practical examinations, preparations to face the viva-voce, Art of delivering an effective pedagogy and to take decisions to answer theory papers in more meticulous and precise manner. The program of this kind was organized for the first time in the country by IAPHD Bangalore chapter. This program was co-ordinated and conducted by experienced Post graduate Teaching faculty. There were over 100 registrations from Post graduates of the Department of Public Health Dentistry from all the dental colleges in Bangalore. The 3 day program was well received and was a huge success in imparting knowledge to the students.

The IAPHD, Karnataka Chapter in association with The Department of Public Health Dentistry, DSCDS  successfully organized a Continuing Dental Education Programme cum Workshop on the 19th and 20th of August 2014 at the C.D.SAGAR AUDITORIUM, DSI. The topic for the CDE programme was on ‘Introduction to Research Methodology, Biostatistics and Journal Club’.

 

The IAPHD, Karnataka Chapter in association with The Department of Public Health Dentistry, DSCDS  successfully organized a Continuing Dental Education Programme on 10th November 2012 at the C.D.SAGAR AUDITORIUM, DSI. The topic for the CDE programme was on ‘Improving Oral Health in Karnataka- Challenges and Opportunities’. This program was  the first of its kind by the IAPHD, Karnataka Chapter and it was attended by faculty and post graduates from different parts of Karnataka. The program also consisted of a panel discussion with eminent resource persons where the challenges and opportunities for improving oral health in Karnataka were discussed. It was concluded with the decision to adopt villages and continue the School Health Programmes in a full fledged manner.
